My sister, Heather Hansen, Utah's Biggest Loser Season 3 felt like being on the "Biggest Loser" was the only way to get her life back. It worked for her! Although she invited me to audition with her I gained weight instead. Now I want to take control of my life, too. My idea is kind of crazy but nothing else has worked. So, why not try something new? I'm blogging my way to weight loss. That's right. I don't need to be on "Biggest Loser" and I don't need a television show like Kristie Alley to lose weight. I just need a method that works for me. Yes, I am a weak human-being when it comes to yummy-fattening food and I need to hold myself accountable.
My gameplan: There are 365 days in a year and I need to lose 100 pounds. (I don't care how many pounds I lose in a year or what I look like. My objective is to start living healthy!) Every day for the next year I am going to blog a journal entry that includes whether or not I exercised and stayed on my daily menu. Maybe committing to a journal blog and "doing it my way" will be less intimidating and more powerful than anything else I've tried.
GOALS: May- 1500 calories; any calories above this will have to be burned off through exercise. Minimum 20 min. exercise.
*********************************** My Inspiration! April 18, 2010 my two younger sisters entered a Marathon in Sacramento, California, in my behalf. I have been fighting Triple Negative Breast Cancer (www.tnbcfoundation.org)
undergoing chemotherapy for the last several months. Finding out I had cancer was a shock to my healthy family, and when my sisters found out about it they wanted to do something for me. They have! Stepping over the 15 mile finish line in less than 3 hours gave me the motivation to train for my first marathon in October. So, cheers gals, to my blog-a-jog!
